BIO
Mr. Johnson has worked for MSAD 75 since 2007 and as a groundskeeper since 2009. He grew up in Harpswell and after attending and graduating from Mt. Ararat High School, David attended The University of Maine in Orono to pursue a degree in New Media.
After leaving Orono in 2006, David came home to work with his father lobstering and took a job at MSAD 75 as an Ed Tech in early 2007. In 2009, a groundskeeping position opened up in the district and David applied and got the job. He started out taking care of the district's elementary schools and then moved up to Mt. Ararat Middle School where he enjoyed learning the athletic side of being a groundskeeper. In 2015, transitioned to the position of Head Groundskeeper at Mt. Ararat High School.
Most recently, David has taken an active role in the design and construction of the new high school and athletic facilities. Once complete, he will be responsible for maintaining a new 153,000 sq ft high school, a brand new baseball field, new secondary grass practice fields and a brand new athletic stadium with a synthetic turf surface among other high school athletic fields and facilities.
David is a member of the MSAD 75 school community and resides in Bowdoinham with his wife, Theresa, and his daughter and son. He enjoys camping with his family, going to New England Patriots games as a season ticket holder and hanging out with friends and family whenever possible.
